Master Keying & Restricted Systems

MASTER KEYING & RESTRICTED SYSTEMS

Master key systems are common in Multi Family Homes, Office Buildings and on large Campuses such as Hospitals, Universities, Government Institutions, Malls, Office Parks, Marinas and other places where key control is needed.

Peaks allows you to integrate all of your cylinders while using a single key. Greater retrofit ability within the system allows the customer to replace only the key system, not the hardware, thus eliminating additional cost to implement a secure, controlled system.

Peaks brand of restricted key cylinder can retrofit many different brands of hardware so your overall cost would be lower that replacing all of your existing hardware when upgrading to a restricted key system.

How does the patent PEAKS®

Preferred feature work? Peaks® Preferred utilizes a second shear line inside of the cylinder including a patent Peaks® pin that functions only with a Peaks® patent key and its patented function. Instead of the complicated components used in other systems, the Peaks® patent pin and patent key feature operates like other pin tumbler positions on the key, but in a different location and is a permanent part of the key when it leaves the factory, not cut onto the key blank or added in the field.

Rekeying only restarts the cycle...

There are many common situations that put the keys to your home or business in the wrong hands. It is easy for criminals to duplicate your keys. The result can be unauthorized access to your personal property, customer files, company records, as well as other important and valuable items. Rekeying your locks does not solve the problems, it only restarts the cycle, a cycle that leads to expensive rekeying again and again in the future. The reality is that most standard keys are easy to duplicate. All that is required is to take them to a key cutter at the hardware store. Remember the last time you had keys made? Were you asked for identification or authorization before the keys were cut?
